u/protokhan Mar 25 '23

Also who is paying $200 a month for cable tv? That seems really high

Some plans start around $50 and can reach up to hundreds of dollars for more TV's, premium channels, movies, sports.

Shoot where do you live? Average cable bill here is 2-300.

Dang, that's the first time I've seen such a high price to watch TV. I live in France, for 35€ a month (~$37) I get 900 channels of all types, including a lot of channels from other countries.

Oceanic flight 815 should get ya there.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '23

Well actually, Oceanic 815 wound up blowing up and scattering across an island. I think you mean the decoy plane dumped in the ocean by a rich businessman for some reason to thwart rescue efforts that could’ve found the island that was moving around on its own anyway, later to be outright teleported by a dude messing with a ship’s wheel in a well that had the unfortunate side effect of causing the damn place to skip about through time and space, causing those unfortunate souls teleporting about to get nose bleeds.

Ya that show was the wildest trip on strange plot elements. I heard they were going to make more and I wonder if it'll help make that shit make sense.

After rewatching “Ab Aeterno,” I’m convinced the answer to that isn’t a continuation of the story, but a prequel. That episode was the highlight of an otherwise dull final season in my opinion.

4

u/Motocamperman Mar 24 '23

25 years of adults just got that song stuck in our heads

I haven't flown recently, or at all since before COVID, but my plane ticket costed about three times more and I didn't even go that far. Then I had to pay for the activities I did, hotel, transportation, food and other stuff. The trip was a little over 2k for one week.

I don't wanna go to True Crime Land, though!
